Water less
In honor of World Water Day (which was on March 22nd): You can support companies that are trying to reduce their water footprint when you need to buy new clothes. Levi's WaterLess™ jeans reduce water usage (normally about 42 liters per pair) by an average of 28% per pair--and up to 96% for some styles. It's a step in the right direction.

Don't wait until you lose something under the fridge to clean under there . . .
A refrigerator with dirty coils works harder, and uses 25 percent more energy compared with a fridge with clean coils. To clean the coils: Disconnect the power; pull the unit away from the wall; remove the grill covering the coils; and use a vacuum cleaner or a bottle brush to clean.
